The Hive is a desktop farm for growing edible insects. With a controlled micro-climate, carbon filters to eliminate odours and a patented breeding and harvesting mechanism, mealworms fed on kitchen scraps can provide up to three protein-rich meals per week. Food recycler for the kitchen

The Zera™ Food Recycler, developed by Whirlpool's innovation incubator WLabs, is designed for indoor use. The upper chamber is filled with food waste with a cocktail of coir and baking soda. A slowly turning spindle quickly breaks down the content in as little as 24 hours, dropping down into a container below, ready to be used as rich fertiliser.
