Olio is an app that connects neighbours with each other and with local shops so surplus food and other items can be shared, instead of thrown away. Food (as well as non-food) items are offered for free to the community via an uploaded photo and short description.

With a combination of mobile technology, specially designed robots and a local hub system it aims to make local delivery faster, smarter and more cost-efficient. So far it has been tested in 100 cities internationally.

Stockwell is a new retail concept that resembles a freestanding larder. Found in offices, apartment buildings, college campuses etc, a code is entered into an app that opens the larder door, and the smart technology logs any items removed. Stockwell stores learn what sells at each location and restocks accordingly.
