A multi-disciplinary team of MA students were brought together to collaborate on an innovation project for Nissan Design Europe, exploring the future of sustainable mobility. Using design research, mapping and visualisation tools, new uses and services for electric vehicles were proposed, based on potential users and personas of the future.
The video shows how the Department 22 team distilled a range of concepts developed during an initial one-week workshop into a service blueprint for Nissan. The Nissan Club is a car-sharing service and loyalty programme that works with users through their life stages – from interactive game-based driving for pre-licensed kids, to task-opportunities for parents doing the school run. |
Design Director, Nissan Europe: “The workshop and design consultancy organised by the D22 team was a powerful experience that has provided us with a fantastic quantity of high quality innovative ideas. They quickly grasped the true nature of our challenges and turned them into plausible future scenarios."
